My Services
Grief Coaching
Life delivers many losses that our culture does not acknowledge even though our experience is grief. Death due to suicide or other mental illness is not socially sanctioned. Mourning the loss of hopes and dreams due to the chronic brain disease of a loved one. There is so much to navigate and so few guides. I am a guide.Â
Families benefit from the neutrality of a third party, a coach, to restabilize themselves. Chronic illness, developmental differences, life stage issues, and changes in the family incur challenges. Families can be strengthened with support.
Divorce is challenging enough. Add children. Add an inability to cooperate with ex. I provide skills and support to keep the temperature down, children out of the middle, and adults to move on with their new lives.
We receive training in academic subjects. We receive training for work. We receive training for pets. Other than the families we grow up in, we receive little training in family lie. How important are roles, rules, and rituals? What kinds of problem-solving approaches make sense and when? What about the use of resources?
