I am Mara Briere, a professional problem solver. I have plenty of training and experience in working with adults blindsided by Life’s experiences. I hold a master’s degree, a nationally recognized credential in Family Life Education, and a certificate in substance abuse counseling.

PTP Coaching is a family-oriented, values-driven business that provides coaching for families and individuals. Mara Briere founded the company in 1996 to partner with adults to develop solutions to their problems. As a CFLE, I have actively participated in the National Council on Family Relations’ professional development by offering webinars, mentoring peers, and authoring articles for Family Focus.

I bring my previous experiences as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, an in-home clinician, and a parenting educator to my current coaching practice. My vision is to partner with adults who want to develop solutions that will enable them to grow stronger families, marriages, and friendships while living purposeful lives filled with meaning, joy, peace, and deep satisfaction! I believe in the power of connection and the importance of creating a supportive environment where individuals can thrive. My approach is rooted in empathy and understanding, allowing me to guide clients through their unique journeys with compassion and insight. Together, we can navigate life’s complexities and uncover each person’s strengths.

I use a GROW Model. GROW is an acronym that stands for Goal, (current) Reality, Options (or Obstacles), and Will (Way Forward). Let’s agree that every problem contains solutions, and we are going to experiment with several approaches to see which are effective. Filling toolkits with tools that can be used when the situation calls for them fills us with confidence and reduces our stress. As your coach, I will give you many resources, strategies, and tools to try.
